Selkie: (Scots: selkie fowk) are mythological creatures found in Irish, Scottish and Faroese folklore. Similar creatures are described in the Icelandic traditions. Selkies are said to live as seals in the sea but shed their skin and become human on land.

These particular ‘selkies’ are raku fired, decorative ceramic pieces, with white or turquoise cracked or spotted glaze.

Choose colour in drop down box. Items may vary slightly from original image as the pieces are individual made and fired.
